I knew we found a great hotel for my family's annual trip to Virginia Beach when the woman behind the counter helped my father to park in the packed parking lot. Though we did not get a balcony with a view of the ocean, we lodged in an impressive room above the office. I never would have expected to have a bathroom, two separate bedrooms, and a kitchen stocked with all the necessary amenities (including a full-sized refrigerator, a stove, small appliances such as a microwave, toaster, and coffee maker, pots and pans, and silverware) for such a low price! On top of that, the employees were amicable and if we needed anything, they were happy to oblige. Though we brought food for breakfest, the free continental breakfest was much appreciated. Our only concerns included the scarcity of outlets (and most of the ones there were in very hard-to-reach places) and the absence of a vent in the bathroom. Additionally, though the bicycles were free for us to use, the chains on most were horribly rusty; they either needed to be replaced or oiled. Other than that, this has been, by far, the best hotel we have ever lodged while at the beach. The room's features and the employees' hospitality were impressive, and the rates were affordable. The heated pool was nice, too.
