“Great lesson on the US Coast Guard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

If you're on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, you must stop at the Old Coast Guard Station. You'll learn how the Coast Guard rescued people from the heavy surf 100 years ago. You'll be amazed! Everything in Virginia Beach is NAVY, NAVY, NAVY. Take a Coast Guard break on the Boardwalk!

“Nice Little Stop”

The staff here are very friendly and informative. The gift shop is great. There are many plaques to read and there is always a great deal of activity here.

“Don't Miss It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

A great little museum! In the middle of all the bars and the towering modern hotels you can find the soul of old Virginia Beach. The docents are friendly, easy going and very informative. Slow down to enjoy all the old photographs and the artifacts. Don't forget to notice the building itself! We are lucky to still have it. It is a beautiful original structure and the interior details are amazing. Besides the museum, this is probably the best gift shop on the boardwalk. Don't miss it!
