We purchased the Living Social voucher for use on our way to Georgia. The voucher included $25 credit for the restaurant or pub but we were informed on our arrival that the hours of operation had been changed two weeks prior and that they were only open Thursday through Sunday and therefore not available to us. Donna, the manager told us that she upgraded our wine and also gave us extra cards for complimentary wine tastings. George prepared and served our breakfast both days and offered to come in early the 2nd day so we could hit the road by 8:00.
Our very clean room (Kerry) was in an old barn or carriage house. It is rustic and had a comfortable couch and a good bed with nice linens and would have felt luxurious if it were better maintained. We were aware of the sound of running water and initially couldn't find it but my husband located it in a partially closed wooden box in the corner of the room. He lifted the lid and there was a disconnected pipe leaking water to somewhere outside the room. He notified Donna and it was taken care of immediately but the rusty conduit with exposed wire outside the room and crooked outlet covers indicate that it could use a little more TLC.
All the staff seemed to be genuinely interested in our comfort. Thank you Donna and George. We really want to return to enjoy that pub.
And the stink bugs..they are really slow and easy to gently pick up with a piece of toilet paper and flush and we only saw a couple.
