The hotel is beautiful! The breakfast is great quality plus you cant beat the free drinks at the manager's reception! The staff is really helpful and cordial. The shuttle driver (I believe his name was Ricardo) was really friendly! Overall, my experience was amazing. Can't wait to go back!

Just finished a four night stay at this fine property outside of DC. The location has lots to offer as far as dinning and shopping options, being a distance from DC is no problem on this front. It is an older property, well kept, with a very pleasant staff. The full breakfast and cocktail hour are both well handled, and really add value to your stay, add in the free parking and I can't imagine a better value in the area. The shuttle service is very handy, and gets you out from behind the wheel in this very heavy traffic area. We took the advice of other TA members and got a room in the rear on a high floor in the rear to avoid road work noise, great idea except for the clowns in the building next door who started throwing metal debris into dumpsters before 6 AM both work days we were there. Very aggravating! One of the two elevators was down for all four days of our stay, and the wake up call we requested for our getaway day was never made (dumpster guys made sure we didn't oversleep). All in all I can't imagine you will find a better value in the DC area for your money, when the Metro comes to the front door, it will only improve the experience. Well done to the management and staff, who do well with what they have to work with. Good attitude goes a long way in this business.

Room Tip: Higher floors will cut down on lobby noise, the outside noise would seem to be of the temporary natu...

Thanks so much for your feedback and for letting me know about the work being done so early. In fact, thanks to your review we were able to have the workmen delay until much later when our guests are awake. We are very excited about all the work being done in our area as it is just about finished for all of our guests to enjoy. Please do come again soon so that you can see all the improvements and take advantage of the great value here at the Embassy Suites!

Warmest Regards,

Steve W.

The room was very nice, great bed and bedding. There were good snacks at the happy hour; made to order breakfast was very good with many options. A group of friends were on a shopping trip; the hotel was close to the malls, a number of good restaurants are close. The hotel has a shuttle to malls and restaurants.

From the time I arrived to the time I left the receptionist were very helpful. Even though there is a lot of construction in the area the evening reception was a wonderful event to go to after sitting in traffic and working all day. The hotel was quite and the breakfast was awesome! There are no improvements that I can think of at this time but to keep up the good work!

The is an older clean hotel. The staff was very polite and the food was above average. Its in a great location, being close to 495 and shopping. The biggest pain-point was the noise. There is some serious road contruction, which sad to say, is taking place throughout the night. Yes, very noisey!

Thanks so much for your comments. You will be happy to know that the outside construction is winding down and we now rarely have work being done into the evening. Of course the new subway station is well worth the small inconvenience as our guests will now have access to all of the Washington DC sights and attractions. I am glad you like the food and that the hotel was as clean as our standards demand. Again, thanks so much for your feedback and we look forward to having you back very soon.

Warmest Regards,

It was a nice managers reception, we had a delicious complimentary glass of wine. Then we had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant. I had yummy maryland crabcakes. The bed was so comfortable and the hotel was so quiet that we slept so good. The complimentary breakfast was really good and had a lot of variety. One of our better hotel experiences! It was close to Great Falls park where we had a really fun day hiking.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Trip Advisor. I am surprised more people do not know about our suites with hot breakfast and the manager's reception so thanks for putting the word out. We also are not far from Great Falls where we have some of the best hiking and scenic views of the Potomac River just minutes from Downtown DC. Thanks again for your feedback and we hope you come again soon!

The booking gods must have been shining down on me when I booked this hotel because I got it for a steal ($81.00) a night in late summer! Imagine that! At that price, I was not expecting the top quality hotel room that we were giving. My family and I (husband & 10-year-old son) stayed at the Embassy Suites Hotel during our Washington, D.C. visit. The room was beautifully done. Nothing other the top, but modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. I should add that it was also very quiet, in spite of the bar and dining room being steps from our door. The hotel rooms doors all face an atrium which holds the bar area. Just off the atrium is the dining room, which in the morning is quite busy with hotel guests taking full advantage of excellent full breakfast, which include eggs anyway made to order. All in all, it was a great stay, and I highly recommend it. I should also add that during our stay the Tyson's Corner Metro station was being constructed and appeared to be nearing completion, so there was some traffic congestion. But once it is completed, it will be within walking distance of the hotel.

Thank you so very much for your feedback. It sounds like you got a bargain and why not? At the Embassy Suites where all of our rooms are suites and come with the full hot breakfast and Manager's reception it is certainly the best value in town. Thanks so much for sharing both your feedback and the pictures which look much better in person. Please come see us again soon!
