We have stayed here many times over many years. The wonderful staff is what makes this place great. What is amazing is their can do, helpful and caring attitude. We will be back again again. Always quality here!

My husband & I just wanted some time to get away and spend together. Everything from breakfast to the evening reception complimented our stay. The staff was professional and courteous. We caught a great deal on the prices...so it was more than worth our money. And we can't wait to go again!!

Unfortunately, my experience at the complimentary breakfast left a sour taste in my mouth. Basically had the lady at the grill get an attitude with me because I requested a box to take my food with me and she didn't want to give me one. Upon my protesting, she switched to speaking Spanish and proceeded to continue the verbal assault with another of the waiting staff in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish, but my wife does (which they did not realize immediately). What amazed me was how brazen and loud they got. IT SEEMED LIKE THEY HAD GOTTEN VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THIS TYPE OF CONDUCT, and that only comes from having done it enough times before. But I am biased of course. At any rate, that cannot be good for customer service. Apart from that nasty incident, the rest of the staff were brilliant, and the facilities were up to expected standards.

Scott B, Manager at Embassy Suites Hotel Tysons Corner, responded to this review, February 1, 2013
It was a pleasure to talk to you both earlier today. I apologize for your breakfast experience while staying at the Embassy suites Tysons Corner. As you mentioned, you had not encountered this type of behavior in any of your other previous visit. The expectation is for the staff to be friendly and take care of our guests. This incident is a training opportunity for us and we will be reviewing it at our next monthly staff meeting.
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we are doing. This includes areas that we do well in and areas that we can do a little better in. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Great room at a great price. Nice two room suite, comfortable bed & pullout, nice size TVs. Enjoyed the complimentary managers reception in the evening and full extensive breakfast in the morning. Pool and hot tub area was nice and workout room was adequately equipped. I saw a sign that they offer passes to a nearby health club if you desire. Parking was free as well as hotel shuttle to nearby areas including Metro (although we didn't use them). Suite setup allows for some inside walking exercise although I heard there's a big mall close by. Staff was friendly and attentive. With a child attending college in the DC area this hotel will be our choice to stay in the future. Didn't really venture out in the adjacent area too much but it is on a pretty busy road that seems more commercial (Best Buy, restaurants, car dealers) than residential but the area seemed safe and parking lots are well-lit, hotel is easily accessed from highway (270?). Our mode of operation when traveling to DC is stay on the outskirts of town and use the Metro; while some hotels closer to DC may be a comparable price I do not feel they offer the value that this one does, some charge parking fees and no breakfast etc.

I stayed at this hotel during the Inauguration/MLK holiday weekend. The hotel was very easy to find with great access to wonderful restaurants, shopping and also easy access to the Beltway. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The front desk service was great. We had a slight issue when we went down to the hotel cafe to order dinner - the service was super slow - but the hotel did take care of it and my son loved his dinner so I really appreciate the hotel's efforts to rectify the situation. If you're visiting northern VA or DC, definitely consider this hotel.

Room Tip: The view from the top floor is fantastic!

The hotel was very clean, and the front desk employee were very accomodating. This was an extremely busy day for the hotel, due to the innaugeration, but the increased guest population did not seem to affect the customer service at all. The location was a 3 mile trip to the nearest Metro, but that will be changing soon, as the Metro is expanding right across the street. The 4 level mall had just about any store you could think of, and the other mall had all the High-Priced retail vendors as well. There were plenty of restuarants, and the 4 story mall had food courts to die for. The next time we come to DC, we will be staying at this Embassy!
