“Tyson's Corner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Very nice, clean, efficient hotel. This hotel was an excellent value for the price. The breakfast was very good and the staff all very friendly. The only draw back was it was a little difficult to get to.

The staff, rooms, and service are absolutely wonderful. The front desk representative was more than accommodating and the rooms were very clean. Spacious, quiet, and highly recommended for a wonderful get away. You won't regret giving this hotel a chance.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and I had great service again. The front desk staff is really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable for a business trip - no bells and whistles but they do the job. The gym is a little small (only 2 treadmills) but it was't too packed when I was there. There's not too much in the surrounding area. My only complaint is that I called for a plate and knife and fork so I could eat dinner that I had picked up on my way to the hotel and the charged me a service fee!

There's plenty of parking on the street so don't bother paying the $5 parking fee.

Love Hilton properties and this one stands out. Close to everything in Washington, yet tucked away on a quiet little street. Easy access to the interstate for anyone travelling and close to one of the biggest shopping areas for the avid shopper. Price was exceptional! Parking dirt cheap! Spotless, well appointed room, friendly staff, nice restaurant and the location make this a highly recommend.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

I recently stayed at the HGI in Tyson's Corner for a business trip. I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at numerous properties in their line including HGI but this was my first visit to this location. I showed up after 10 PM and my reserved King room was not available so I was compensated with free breakfast during my stay.

The room was rather spacious including a huge 42" flat screen TV that had many HD channels and excellent picture quality. There was ample space for clothing storage and a nice sized desk and comfy work chair. The bathroom was average with a granite counter and standard but nice setup with lotion, shampoo and conditioner. The shower was average for a tub style. Water was warm, but the head was low (I'm over 6ft) and the pressure was average at best. The heat control was sufficient if not a tad noisy on start up. The room was clean and a neutral smell.

I usually have a swim or visit the hot tub in the morning on most of my trips, but that was not an option as they had very limited weekday hours from 5-10P. The restaurant was very good for breakfast, but not sure I would have paid $12+tip had I not been comped. The bar was small, but had very good happy hour specials and the bartenders were very good.

Parking is only $5, but the garage is very tight, but had ample parking during my visit.

To sum up, this is a very nice hotel, but for the price paid (over $200 per night before tax) I think the breakfast and parking should have been included. The staff was very kind and I did enjoy my stay and would stay again.

Room Tip: The *24 rooms are at the end of the hall and very quiet.

The hotel was very accomadating, they provided extra pillows that were waiting for me when I arrived. The service was polite and friendly, the rooms very clean. One small problem was the parking garage where it was diffucult to leave due to a very narrow exit. Other then that awesome experience.
