“A great neighborhood restaurant and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

Conveniently located in Tysons Coastal Flats succeeds in offering very good food at reasonable prices. I particularly appreciate the whipped cauliflower which initially fooled me as it seemed like mashed potato. The salmon is prepared to perfection and the deviled eggs are amazing too. The atmosphere is lively and lots of kids but it is not a distraction as the din overwhelms them.

“GREAT MEAL - OUTSTANDING SERVICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

Once again utilized Trip Advisor to find the top restaurant in Tyson's Corner. The staff at Coastal Flats made you feel like you were special - they were very friendly with the intent of making your visit a special experience. The seemed to be well trained in providing service in a very positive manner. The waiter, Brian, was the best we have experienced and enjoyed in our numerous visits to restaurants throughout the east coast. Brian was extremely positive and seemed intent on making this meal and restaurant a 5 star experience - he met his goal. He recommended the top dishes (King Salmon, Lobster Roll, Desserts) and took great pleasure in our enjoyment of the delicious meals. I would highly recommend Coastal Flats as the top restaurant in Tyson's Corner and be sure to ask for Brian's Table!

“A Fantastic Lobster Roll”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

Last week, a friend and I had dinner at Coastal Flats, located in the Tysons Corner (1) mall. Much to my surprise, she recommended the lobster roll. We are both New Englanders so we know our stuff!!! It was OUTSTANDING - so much so that I returned with another friend the following day and enjoyed yet another heavenly creation - so full of huge pieces of lobster and presented in the authentic browned - open top roll. I mentioned this to yet another friend who had dined at another Coastal Flats in our area who had also enjoyed, you guessed it, the lobster roll. It was also amazingly good there. It goes for "market price" which was $25 at dinner, $21 at lunch. It was worth every penny!!! The chunks were so big I had to cut several of them and there was very little claw meat.

“Interesting Menu, So-so food”

Red Snapper wasn't fresh and tasted fishy. Shrimp po-boy was good. Service was great. Atmosphere was pleasant, but it was noisy!

“Desibel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Being in a mall with no outdoor seating, Coastal Flats is an average restaurant. It's noise level is even worse when you go inside rather than the mall side. Service is a bit slow and the servers are a bit pushy comparing similar restaurants in the upscale Tysons Corner Center mall. Too many teenagers contribute to the decibel level.
