“Better places in Tyson's Corner, don't bother!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2011

This was not a good experience, beginning with the placement of our table for our party of 8(right next to the kitchen door in the Club Room, as the servers kept hitting two of our chairs. Our reservation was at noon, and when we arrived, the restaurant and room were pretty empty. The seats were flushed to the wall not allowing much seating for those seated against the wall. Our server(Robin), was friendly but failed to meet our expectations. This included taking incorrect orders, not bringing silverware(spoon) with a requested coffee and bringing the coffee at the end of the dining experience and incorrect billing items. When you charge $2.95 for coffee, there should at least be an offer for a refill. One person in our party ordered 'lunch ribs', but was given dinner ribs but since this was our FIRST time at your restaurant, we did not realize the meal was dinner until we were charged $23.95. If a person says "I'll have ribs, then how about asking 'is that lunch or dinner portion', please don't assume the most expensive option. Also, for our two kids meals, one meal was incorrect. We asked to get it corrected right when we got it, but instead, we were given two meals and charged for both meals(ribs and chicken). When we asked the server about this, she said that the manager was aware of the mistake and was going to 'comp' the second meal, BUT when we got the bill, it was not comped until we brought it up. Why did she bring this up (about comping the meal) but did not do it. When I asked the server to speak with the manager, either she did NOT tell him about our request or he did not want to speak with us. He did put his initials (GS) on our final check so he must have been aware of our experience.

As far as the food, we ordered the spinach and artichoke fondue(two orders) but it was very salty and full of garlic chunks. The desserts are very deceiving, since they show you a display tray of the desserts but when you get the actual food, the portions are half the size. We inquired about this but all the server told us was 'well some slices are big and some are small'. Hmmm, we ordered lots of drinks, starters, full meals and desserts, totaling $300 for an average Sunday lunch, it would have been nice for them to inquire about our experience.

There are other places such as the Daily Grill, Flemings, Clydes, and Cheesecake Factory, so don't bother with this place.

“Decent food at a price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2010

Great service at the bar if you can get a seat. The steak is a little pricey for what you get but hey, you're in Tysons 2. Scallop skewers were great as an app.

“they redeemed themselves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2010

after two VERY unpleasant trips to tysons wildfire, during dinner hours I should add, my mother and I decided to try wildfire one last time to see if they were just having a terrible evening (twice) the last time we went. We went for a noon lunch reservation and were seated immediately. It took 5-6 min for our server to appear, which already had me doubting this to be any different of a visit due to the fact that they were very busy during lunch time. Once our server "Ben" got to the table, she immediately took our drink order and told us about the days specials. Within 2-3 min of ordering our entire meal, soup was on the table and the entree was close behind. We never waited for anything to appear like the previous visits, and our server was very kind and attentive. The manager (Aaron) also stopped by our table to see how our experience was at wildfire. Overall, this was a great visit. I'm not one to hold a grudge or think that someone or something cannot improve and be better than they once were. I'm happy that we decided to give Wildfire a 3rd (yes I know, crazy) try before counting them out. My only question remains : can they handle my 5-7 person dinner party the next time we dine there. We shall see!
PS- The Parm crusted Rock fish is AMAZING

“a plate-full!”

Great food, a bit crowded, and make sure you're ready to take your time (wasn't so great with our 11 month old).

“Enjoyable 1940's-Style Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2010

My wife and I have eaten at Wildfire several times and have taken both of our families there when they have visited from out of town. Each time we have visited, we have enjoyed our meals, particularly the crusted steak fillets. Out of all of the potato options on offer, our favorite has been the au gratin. The cornbread that they provide before the meal is also excellent.

One word of note - order a separate dish of vegetables to share, otherwise you just get meat and potato if ordering the steaks. Also, don't bother leaving room for desert, as they aren't that great. I was surprised to see Wildfire rated so low, hence the five stars. It can also be a noisy when busy.
