Joni used to have a food truck which was lovingly nicknamed "Roach Coach" by everyone I know who ate there- which was pretty much every early-morning workingman I know. I've been told people called it that to deterr "Come-Here's" people so It could stay a best-kept secret in the community. Joni's (everyone i know now never calls it "almost there", but says, "hey, do you wanna go to joni's?") has now moved into a permanant building where her truck used to park- a veeeeerrrry! small! Quaint! Tiny! restauraunt with a take-no-prisoners- additude and great food. from the mismatched, hodge-podge decorations and whimsical murals and paintings on the walls to the diversity of the menu-(you want seafood? sandwiches? burgers? chicken? breakfast? take your pick!) Joni's has got it goin on. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just to stop in an grab some fresh coffee and one of joni's mind-bogglingly outrageous desserts. Friendly service, intimate, folky setting, and do yourself a favor and get to meet Joni if she's there- this lady is a geniune trip.
