I booked a room at this hotel on-line on the Wyndham Rewards website two weeks in advance and had no trouble with our reservation. I called ahead to alert the receptionist we would be arriving around 8 PM and she assured us that would not be a problem. This hotel is situated well away from the highway but our GPS unit guided us right to it.
Checking in was quick, the receptionist just needed to see my credit card and asked about the car we were driving. I do not think the hotel was anywhere near filled since there were plenty of parking spaces to choose from. The front desk is actually on the second floor and we noticed the distinct smell of cigarette smoke as soon as we walked in. Our room was on the third floor which I believe is their designated non-smoking floor but we were not sure since the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. Fortunately, our room did not.
The room itself was large enough to accommodate two beds but we requested a room with one queen. The décor was pleasant and the furnishings were all in good repair. The bed was comfortable with four pillows. The bathroom was clean. Our room faced towards the rear of the building and in the morning we had a nice view of open fields. There was no traffic noise.
The one negative comment we have is the air conditioner was a bit on the loud side and it cycled on and off but we were too tired to let that bother us and we had a good nights’ rest. Someone who is a very light sleeper would probably have a problem with that.
The hotel offers a free continental breakfast and they offered scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, juices, pastries, and cereals. The room is large enough to seat 30 people at one time. There is a Mexican restaurant adjacent to the hotel, but we did not have time to check it out. We were quite pleased with our stay and have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.
