As in a previous review, my wife and I were wondering if we were on the right road leading to the stately Manor that grabbed our attention in the Select Registry and found on the website. But just as the green of spring sneaks up on you, The Manor House and Cottages appear, and the pictures come to life. This was a little spring getaway from the big city to a country retreat. When we arrived on the property, we found such diverse accommodations from a 200 year old Manor House to a Mill Studio that sits amidst the spring located mid point on the property. Surrounding the accommodations, were well manicured rolling hills and a variety of trees and plants littered throughout the property. We stayed in the Barton Room of the Manor House and each morning we were greeted with friendly and attentive service from the Chief to the Owner. The Owners made you feel as though you were their only guess sitting down to have a conversation with you at the end of the day or making a toast at dinner time ensuring the guests that they are appreciated and return guess are acknowleged as valued customers. The food was a surpise and delight. The Breakfast meal was to die for and afternoon homemade cookies and refreshments were the treat in our day. Overall, we felt as though we had found Heaven tucked away in Virginia at the Inn At Vaucluse Springs.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Manor House provide quick access to early morning coffee and breakfast served from 8:30...

This was my first stay at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring but not my first visit to the property - the manor house was built my by ancestors many generations ago and remained in the family through the civil war. It was great to finally stay at the Inn with other family members and we had a wonderful weekend. Barry and Neil and everyone at the Inn made us feel so welcome and took such great care of us. The meals were wonderful - breakfast each morning and we had dinner at the Inn Saturday evening. A fantastic experience and looking forward to going back again in the future. A walk around the property is a must do to.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

What an amazing place - my husband and I enjoyed a couple of days at Vaucluse for our anniversary and the grounds, the accommodations (we stayed in the cabin), the service and the food were impeccable. Driving down the long gravel driveway to the inn, we were starting to wonder if the pictures on the website were a true representation of the place - you drive over railroad tracks and then past a junkyard before getting there. But once we turned into the property, it was like it was a little slice of heaven. The property is absolutely beautiful - lots of trees, flowers, a nice-sized pond, and beautifully situated lodging amongst it all. When we checked in, we were warmly greeted by Neil and both she and her husband Barry are very friendly and accommodating (she is an EXCELLENT cook as well). There were no other guests at the inn on the first night of our stay, so we were able to check out all of the rooms (we would stay in any one of them) and they are all fabulous! We didn't want to leave when the time came, but we know we will be back - it was a truly unforgettable, very relaxing experience!

We experienced a beautiful spring weekend at The Inn at Vaucluse Spring. Its' rich history, architecture, warmth, and hospitality came together for a memorable and relaxing retreat. In addition to the lovely Manor Home, the estate has unique and charming cottages for lodging, as well. The property is blessed with a bounty of acreage with trails to enjoy a leisure walk or hike, all in view of the Massanutten and Blue Ridge mountains. We were fortunate to also enjoy the superior cuisine of Chef Adam. The welcoming warmth of owners, Neil and Barry, enhanced our overall experience. Craig and Jeanne

We have been coming here for at least eight years and obviously we love it here. As lovely as the place truly is, it is the warmth and friendship of the owners Neil and Barry, chief Adam and the staff that bring us back. The setting is lovely and relaxing the rooms and inn are even more so. Every detail is taken care. Dinner is always fantastic and chief Adam always out does himself. The food is delicious and totally thought out with all the shuttle favors infused into the foods and sauces. Very inventive mixtures of flavor and texture. As Adam explains each course you can see the joy and enthusiasm in his face and voice. Barry and Neil make our visit. We always have good conversation and lots and lots of laughter. It is always a happy visit with them. For a special New Years this is our place of choice for at least eight years now. Wonderful food and guests bring their own iPod and speakers to dance into the evening. We love this place that makes you feel at home in an elegant relaxed first class place.

Room Tip: Each room and location has it's own charm abd feel but all great. Don't discount the the ro...

We have just returned (April 11th) from our ninth stay at the Inn at Vaucluse Spring. Each one gets better. Neil & Barry are the ideal hosts who look after every need, regardless if you are a first timer or a regular like us. The accomodations are super comfortable, and the setting is just country enough to keep us coming back year after year.

My wife and I returned to the Inn after our last visit before moving to Texas. It was like coming home again. Barry and Neil greeted us upon our arrival and the journey got even better. We stayed in the Mill house; wonderful accommodations just down the drive from the main house. Downstairs in like an efficiency apartment, but more homey, with a gas fireplace, refrigerator and sink. The sofa faced the warmth of the fireplace and the bedroom and bath were upstairs. The king-sized bed was awesome and the view of the spring out the bedroom window is breath-taking. The walk up and down the drive to and from breakfast helps work out arthritis stiffness and work off the very filling breakfasts. Friday and Saturday night suppers, prepared by chef Adam are second to none. We decided to have supper at the Inn again Tuesday night because chef Adam offers suppers Tuesday thru Saturday to guests at the Inn and those just looking for an extraordinary meal. The wait staff and housekeepers make sure you're spoiled. The only downside is having to leave again. However, we know the way back home. We'll be back, Neil and Barry-our extended family.
