“Great place, great innkeepers, great food, great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

We have stayed here many times. My husband found this on a cycle ride and brought me back. That was approx. 15 yrs ago and we have returned multitudes of times in multitudes of settings and never been disappointed! Jeff and Becky, the innkeepers treat you like family. You can be as private as you wish or just sit on the porch of the lodge and visit with others. The food is wonderful and plenteous. There are always snacks and drinks provided as no extra charge. The accommodations are comfortable and clean and set in a rustic decor. I highly recommend this quaint B&B and am so glad we get to enjoy it almost on a yearly basis.

We have stayed at this quiet rustic inn in the past and always love coming back. The hosts, Jeff and Becky, offer up an abundance of southern warmth and hospitality. The food was artfully prepared and they offer excellent gourmet dinner selections Friday and Saturday nights. We love to hike and are serious cyclists so the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway was a huge plus for us. I've never seen as many hummingbirds in one place as they have on their front porch. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys nature and being outdoors.

Room Tip: you have a choice between staying in the inn proper or some of the other smaller accommodations on t...

Found this Inn on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. We stayed 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast in mid May 2014. Sugar Tree Inn was ideally located for us just off the Blue Ridge Parkway - great on our Parkway road trip. Our Hosts were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us with information on local attractions and wildlife.

The accommodations are just what it says on the 'Tin' - cosy rustic log cabins and main house with welcoming front porch and swing. We found the food very good - both dinner and breakfast - all home cooked. The entrance driveway is challenging ! - narrow winding and a bit rough - but hey you are in the middle of the mountains..!! We found the rooms comfortable, clean and plenty large enough - my husband is 6'4.. We were able to get wi-fi internet in the main house and our hosts were more than happy to let us use the phone to book ahead for our next nights accommodation.

Slept like a baby in the incredibly comfortable bed and ate like a queen during each fabulous meal. The oatmeal is a must! Loved feeling "off the grid" in the beautiful mountains and yet it was only a quick drive to take in all the nearby attractions. The inn keepers were amazing hosts. Like staying in the home of beloved friends. Amazing experience- can't wait to return!

Located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Crabtree falls, this rustic inn gives you a taste of history. The Charming rooms and gorgeous views from the front porch of the Lodge offer a great get away. We enjoyed our stay and the ability to enjoy the beauty of the Virginia mountains.

Room Tip: if I had to do it over again, I personally would've preferred to stay in the actual inn where th...

Sugar Tree Inn is in a quiet small town. The innkeepers are very accommodating and the beds are amazing. Come hungry because they will feed you amazing meals. We look forward to returning for another kid free getaway.
