Walked to the Depot Grill for lunch from the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. It was a bit of a walk, but not bad on a pretty day, especially if you have the luxury of time to enjoy the scenery along the way - which we did not.
The restaurant looked like every other restored train station restaurant I have ever been to, and the menu was similar as well. I had the buffalo chicken salad, and it was very good. Food took a bit longer to get to our table than we would have hoped, but we were in a medium sized group (8 people) and that may have accounted for it. I have to admit that my opinion of the experience was colored by the fact that we were on a set time lunch break from a conference at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel, and so ended up bolting our food down in order to get back on time to the conference. Others in our group had crabcakes, french dip, and various wraps, and all had positive comments about the food.
Overall a nice place to eat - but don't try to rush there during lunch. Take your time, enjoy the visit, enjoy the food.
