“Wonderful Meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It was a great experience. Very busy restaurant but excellent service. The staff was delightful. Delicious ribs and shrimp not to mention the homemade bread, walnut butter and the best cole slaw we have ever had!

“Tilapia Incredible! Salads outta sight :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Love their salads- Greek salad is HUGE - lettuce always crisp, clean- no aftertaste, bitter. Salads are usually an afterthought in restaruants- not here. Great selection of toppings, dressing is unlike any other basalmic.

Switched it up a bit on this visit and tried the special- Pecan -encrusted Tilapia. The fish was perfect- juicy, not dry- blended so well with pecan topping. Had mashed cauliflower on the side- everything is cooked just right. GREAT meal!
Owner came by- shared his thoughts on the dish, fish at the restaurant in general. he and our server were so welcoming. Wonderful experience.

“Don't miss out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

Late review from our road trip last summer - we visited in August 2012.

As it is late all I will say is that this was one of the best places we ate in whilst in the States. Great location, super helpful staff and great decor. Good menu with lots of choice. We had the crab bake starter - wonderful and now a staple treat in our house - plus a deluge of ribs. These are fantastic, great ribs, loads of taste and simply wonderful. Huge portions. Lovely deserts - we shared one between three. Excellent value for money.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Our first visit was probably our last. The Chocolate cake dessert was nice and the tri-color bread was unusual and served with a delicious whipped butter, but the rest of the meal was only mediocre. Coleslaw was very soupy, nothing above average. The prime rib was MUCH more fatty (at least 30 % fat) than several other GOOD restaurants we frequent. The baked potatoes were okay, but not served with any choices except butter and sour cream. The Rib platter - a combo of Baby Back and St Louis ribs- were tender, but the sauce was overly-sweet and so ketchupy that it was POOR. Very disappointing. Really good barbecue sauce has a complex flavor. Have no plans to try other menu items since there are several other highly rated restaurants in Staunton which we'll visit in the future.
