“A Different Family Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Fair warning, I would not suggest bringing small children here. There is A LOT of expensive glass pieces in the gallery. Even as an adult, I was nervous that I was going to knock something over. That being said, the pieces were beautiful to look at, and I saw several things that caught my attention. One of the coolest things about this place is the glassblowing demonstrations, which was very educational. Obviously, it is extremely hot during the demonstration, but it was engrossing to watch. Additionally, the demonstrator was very knowledgable and tried to keep a running commentary while working.

“Live glassblowing, and beautiful glass and copper objects available- what's not to like?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

The live glassblowing is fascinating to watch, and the friendly, skilled and knowledgeable artist explains the process and answers questions as they go along. It is a hot process do be sure to go when it is reasonably cool weather. The associated gallery is full of beautiful glass and copper objects a range of sizes and prices. You can just browser and admire, or purchase them as desired. Overall well worth the time to visit.

“Our favorite place to take out-of-town guests.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

This is so much more than just a "glass shop" or gift shop! We love the demonstrations. Not just old-fashioned glass blowing but modern techniques creating beautiful works of art. Fun to watch & learn. Beautiful locally made items in store. Larger pieces quite costly but plenty of affordable items as well.

“Interesting glass pieces to purchase.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Sunspots is a glass-blowing shop where they have demonstrations on site and handmade items to purchase. They had some very lovely pieces with reasonable prices (for glass art) and a few pricey objects as well. Staff was helpful and friendly.
