This was my first-ever stay at a Microtel, and it was a great value at a conference-discounted rate of $59 for a Saturday-night stay. Check-in and -out was a breeze (the check-in reception staffer was very funny and efficient). The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the floor was DEAD SILENT overnight, which I really appreciate. The in-room fridge was a nice surprise, as were the 8 p.m. fresh-from-the-oven cookies! I will search out Microtels in future; the Holiday Inn Express breakfasts are better, but much more expensive when you're just sleeping and leaving the next day.
