“Astoundingly Poor Service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2012

We had reservations at 5:30 for 8 of us to eat and then to go to Blackfriar's theater. 7 of us received our food at 6:15, the one remaining meal didn't arrive until 6:45! We kept inquiring of the waitress when the food would arrive and she brushed us off saying that the kitchen was busy and things take time. We were later told she forgot to put the one order in. The manager or waitress never offered a different meal or to comp anything. They brought the bill before the last meal was served with a 20% gratuity already included! I have never been to a more poorly managed restaurant! I am still incredulous that the manager knew that there was a problem and did nothing! Also, 2 sets of silverware at our table were dirty. It is really too bad because the food was food, you just have to get it out of the kitchen!

“excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2012

Small wonderful restaurant located in the heart of downtown Staunton Virginia. The owners are kind and welcoming. We have eaten at Aioli several times and have found the Mediterranean style tapas and entrees consistently delicious.

“Don't miss this restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012

Top notch restaurant in Staunton. Have tried multiple menu items and all were phenominal! Value was super for the complex flavors! Quality was exceptional. Have had: baked bread, hummus, grilled jumbo shrimp, sea scallops, crimini mushrooms, truffle risotto, paella, angus filet, pork tenderloin and apple tart and the Winter Delight drink. Every single item mentioned was exceptional! View their website for menu, photos and more - http://www.aiolistaunton.com/menu.html You will not regret this meal!

“Wonderful food & atmosphere in Old Town Staunton, VA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

My wife and I stayed over night at the Franklin House B&B in Staunton, VA, on our way to Snowshoe, WV to ski. Aioli was recommended by the Franklin House proprietor and we walked the 2 short blocks there. The rockfish was delicious and the house made ravioli was some of the best we've had -- even in many visits to Italy. Chef & Owner Said Rhafiri from Casablanca, Morocco is a delight. He studied in Italy for many years and it shows in his choices of appetizers (tapas on the menu) -- obviously, he appreciates Spanish food, as well. If you're in Staunton definitely stay at the Franklin House and eat at Aioli.

“Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

Unfortunately a large noisy party (but it is Christmastime) so I cannot comment on the normal ambiance - The food was outstanding so it made up for the noise (the reason for the very good not excellent rating).
