“Pleasant 90 Min. Tour”
This past June '11 I visited the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum in Staunton,Va. This site is NOT a "real & official" Presidential Library like the Carter Library in Atlanta BUT it is a lovely museum which provides a brief stroll through the life of Mr. Wilson and his family. He was only there for about a year in his early infancy but his surviving wife was kind enough to give some wonderful artifacts to be viewed. I especially was impressed with the 1919 Pierce-Arrow limousine which has been brought up to perfect standard. There are lots of antique pieces "from the period" but very little of Mr. Wilson's actual adult possessions except the roll-top desk in addition to the car. Nonetheless, the gounds are immaculate and this stop is a delightful insight to the time period. Be careful as the in town signs are a bit confusing. Just drive slowly and you will find it, I did and am glad I did. Harry from New York
