We were pleasantly surprised to walk into such a fantastically appointed studio apartment. The bedroom is semi private with the curves of the wall providing some privacy from the rest of the studio. The bathroom off of the bedroom is HUGE with a giant shower and excellent lighting. There were plenty of supplies stocked for our use including a hair dryer. The second bathroom is really a powder room with the stocked laundry room right off of it. Seriously, a second bathroom AND a washer and dryer! The kitchen is amazing; modern, well stocked, and with everything you would need to feed yourselves or even host a meal. The breakfast goodies provided with the cost were more than adequate and fed us for breakfasts and snacks. It was so perfectly situated downtown that we ditched our rental car. Terry was super easy to work with and we would plan our next visit to Staunton around The Storefront West's availability,

My wife and I spent our anniversary at the Store Front West location and we didn't want to leave. It's essentially a 1300 sq. ft. Contemporary loft apartment, exquisitely designed and decorated. There's an ultra modern full size kitchen with stainless appliances and counter tops. A washer and dryer just off the second bathroom....yes.....that's right.....two bathrooms! The master bath with an amazing stone shower. It's located on the 3rd floor of a vintage 3 story walk up building. The windows in the unit are about 8 feet tall and over look the very charming downtown Staunton. The Inn Keeper was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we had fresh fruit and pastries in the room for breakfast. All of this for less than $100/ night on weeknights and slightly more on weekends.

It felt to good to be true. But it was real and It was a wonderful experience. We would love to make the Store Front an anniversary tradition.

I agree with all of the other reviews that compliment the unique open space, truly like a large studio apartment with wonderful amenities. The design of this place is inspiring and the natural light pouring through the windows is great when you want light.

The downside is trying to sleep with light pouring through the windows at the crack of dawn, the clocktower chiming very loudly and street noise in general.

We originally reserved this space as a couple only, but our teenage son was added to our trip at the last minute. The owner was fine with adding an extra person for $15, but he really had nowhere to sleep. There is a sofa and futon, neither of which had much comfort for sleeping or any way to block the light and sound from outside.

We had some trouble finding the entrance. Maybe I missed some instruction in the email from the owner, but after finding the street address it was difficult to find the door.

I would stay in this location again, but will bring my earplugs and something to cover my eyes.

Came from Richmond which is chock full of wonderful lodgings, but this took the cake. Beautiful comtemporary decor with gorgeous lighting and proximity to downtown make The Storefront West a total thumbs up.
