“Inviting India”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

This restaurant was amazing! I was a bit skeptic at first about trying Indian at first. I thought it might be too spicy, hot, but it was spicy flavorful! Such a great atmosphere and awesome wait staff. It's a must try!

“Great for groups!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Ten of us gathered for a birthday celebration yesterday - what a delightful experience. As always the food was excellent and so many choices. I especially appreciate that the food is flavorful but not hot (of course, heat can be added with condiments if you like). Our large number was easily accommodated. We stayed for a long time and did not feel rushed. Mausam, the manager, even provided an exquisite "birthday hat" for photo opps! It could not have been a better experience, thank you so much!

“True to its name!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

I can't speak fir the other guy, but my family lived in India for years. Since we've resettled to Staunton, we come to Taste of India regularly and thoroughly enjoy the restaurant's food, service, management and atmosphere. Note: medium on their spicy scale is the spiceness of the green curry that comes with the papadoms - order your level of spicy accordingly!

“Worst Indian food ever. Stay Away.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

Less said the better. None of the items on the menu are in any way close to authentic Indian cuisine. None. Zero. Terribly over-priced. Twice more than any good Indian restaurant in DC. A pathetic attempt to fool white people. Any random Indian, no matter how good or bad a cook he is, would cook better than the Chef at this restaurant. I advice you to NOT go there ever, unless you have a rat's taste buds and money to squander.
