Front desk clerk: very nice and helpful. Management: cared about the problems that I had but didn’t want to compensate me. If he replies he would say I refused all help. When in fact he wasn’t there and made decisions w/o speaking to his employee for information. The bath tub wasn’t cleaned and I found a pubic hair on a wash cloth that I used to wash my face. Also, the air conditioners smell of mildew which make the rooms stink. We left our windows open all night, it got down to the 40’s that evening. They did offer a refund or to upgrade to a different room but after the state of my own room I didn’t want to inspect another. I asked for a refund but since I purchased through hotwire I had to speak to them first. Hotwire then advised another option of partial refund which I brought to the clerk, after discussing everything with both parties for a time period of 2 1/2 hours I just needed sleep, it was late. At the point when I retired to my room I felt reassured by the clerk that the management coming in the next day would more than likely offer a partial discount. I did finally get a 50% discount but had to insist that was what I felt was adequate. He first wanted to offer nothing and let hotwire take responsibility for everything, grudgingly he offered 25%, and finally at my insistence 50%.
The front office manager also informed me that neither the corporate office nor the general manager would want to hear nor care what I had to say. He stated that he was the highest person in management that could/would do anything, and I would be referred back to him for everything. I find that hard to believe and will now test that theory. Moral of the story…don’t ever accept a maybe response and always trust your first instinct, mine was to leave…my mistake.
Didn't know I could post pictures...I knew I should have taken a picture of that rag.
