“The Best Overall Staff in Fairfax County Virginia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

I've been in the Springfield Virginia for the last few weeks on company business and I've stayed in the Best Western in Springfield, Virginia. The front desk staff has been really awesome. I want to thank the following for making my stay absolutely awesome; Har-In, Mike, Alex, Stacey, Sona, Sharmin, Christina, Taunya and Aveve. All the hotel staff treat each and every guest with a great deal of respect. I've got a few more weeks more to be here and I'm sure my stay will continue to be great. And there is always a hot breakfast waiting in the cafeteria for the guest.

These people rock at the Best Western in Springfield Virginia.

Room Tip: Nice rooms......nice workout room and great breakfast....

The low price should be a clue...it's not up to Best Western standards.
- My request to the Front Desk to replace my broken TV remote was ignored.
- Hair from a dirty mop or the previous occupant was on the bathroom floor.
- Wireless internet access in the room was so weak web pages would not load.
- There was no listing of TV channels or guide to local services provided in the room.
- Late hour access to hallways was not limited to guests only; they had an room key door access system, but it was not being used.

Light sleepers will regret the location (located close to I-95).

About the only positive aspect of the hotel was the breakfast bar...nice variety hot and cold items.

I’m not sure how this place has gotten such good reviews, as we were very disappointed. The first room we were given had an air conditioner which sounded like a rocket and blew hot air. We went to the lobby to ask for another room and were eventually allocated one, without a word uttered from the disinterested receptionist. That room we found had no chairs at all…just two beds, a table, and a dresser with the TV. The room was far from clean, with sites such as a bloody swatted mosquito on the mirror. It was very difficult to sleep as the beds sagged incredibly and the room was very loud with both noise from the highway outside and the hallway. Breakfast was also disappointing with very few healthy options, though the waffles were very good. We were very thankful that we only had one night to endure there.

I had booked a queen bedroom, but we were put in a double. When I went to the front desk, they were VERY apologetic and upgraded us to a KING. The room was spacious and clean. The ONLY negative was the Direct TV kept going out because of bad weather. The free breakfast was GREAT! Cereal, Belgium Waffles, Toast, Bagels, Muffins, Donuts, Breakfast Potatoes, Bacon or Sausage and Eggs. There was a choice of coffee and tea or juice and milk. The staff was extremely courteous. Take advantage of the free shuttle service within a three mile radius of the hotel, including a ride to the Metro Station where you can catch a train to DC. We went to a couple local restaurants, Kilroys and Silver Diner, they both had good food for a good price. All in all a PERFECT trip!

Room Tip: Higher floors have more amenities, just classier.

This hotel is in a great location near stores and restaurants, and only about 20-25 minutes from DC!! Stacey was great and a helpful person. The pool also looked nice and clean. We were a bit dissapointed in the breakfast it was the same thing everyday but it was like a restaurant in there.

The hotel is an excellent value for money. I could tell they made every effort to cater for the needs of residents, going beyond their star rating requirements. Although the rooms are a bit small, they benefited from a well-thought out selection of amenities, comfortable beds, and an excellent selection of TV channels. They offer a pool and a gym.

The hotel offers a free, comfortable, and readily available shuttle that took us within three miles of the hotel, which for us meant the metro station as well as the Springfield Mall. We were once late coming back - beyond the service hours (9:30 pm) - yet the shuttle service was still available to take us back to the hotel.

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist. We made changes to our travel plans, which were accommodated without hesitation. Stacey was very friendly. He quickly became our trusted adviser on the city as well as what to expect on our next trip.

Breakfast offered a much wider selection than we had expected from a budget hotel. Their waffles and pancakes are out of this world! We had a wholesome breakfast every day with their eggs, sausages, milk, cereals, bread basket, fruits, coffee & tea.

I must also say that we loved Springfield. It gave us that small town feeling yet we were just 20 min away by metro from downtown Washington, D.C.

I would go there again without hesitation.

Location is a little "odd" but that makes this hotel always available for our needs. Close to DC, Reagan Airport, DC Metro. Reliably very, very good. Restaurants nearby not always easy to find, have a GPS for that. The shuttle is flawless for time. This is our second stay for vacation.
