“Great dinner / great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Great place for comfort food while on the road. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes hit the spot when tired at end of day when driving.

Nice big chocolate chip cookie for dessert.

“Breakfast was good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Just 5 mins walk from hotel, the 3 of us had different choices, mine was pancakes & fresh fruit with a smoothie - delicious!

Not really my type of dining place but close to hotel & perfectly good service & food quality

“Take a pass”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

With all the choices for eating in the Springfield area and nearby, this isn't worth a stop. Food is marginal, atmosphere is underwhelming. The staff however are uber friendly. Definitely the high point.

“Good stop on the highway after you pass through the DC traffic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

This family restaurant is an easy one to get to as you drive down 95. It is right past the DC madness and you can see if from the road. It had lunch and senior specials and the waitress was very efficient so that we could get back on the road to continue our traveling. I would definitely stop there again if we were to go that way again. The entrance is tricky. you have to get off at the Springfield exit, take the very first right when you get off, right into the parking lot of the shopping mall and then drive through the shopping center almost to the end because the restaurant is at the end, facing 95. Easy exit to get back onto the road too.

“Poor Service on New Year's Eve”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

I hate to write this on this restaurant that has been good in the past, but NYE 2012 was not the day to go. The reason for 2 stars is that another waitress really tried hard to make it right, but there was no stopping the vengeance that our assigned waitress had in store for us. Here's the story:
My cousin and husband (Newlyweds) were visiting us all the way from Arizona where they go to Bob Evans frequently and LOVE the place, so they suggested we visit this one. It was them, our daughter, my fiancee, and I. We were seated and waited an unusual wait time for anyone to visit our table. The restaurant was virtually empty IMHO. A waitress finally arrived and took drink orders. We ordered drinks and coffee. The drinks arrived a short while later and 1 cup of coffee (not a pot like all the other tables had). The coffee was finished quickly and no waitress for another 10 minutes. We finally had to go to the counter to ask for more and suggest she bring a pot like all the other tables had on them. She ignored the fact that we were standing there.

We then asked (who looked like a manager) if we could get service. He asked who our waitress was. We pointed to her. She then got the most disgusted look I've seen in a while on her face and said, 'I've been over there already'. We were floored. She still never returned and another waitress came to see if she could help and bring us our drinks. We were grateful, but obviously no feeling easy at this point. We agreed to leave after we finished our second round of drinks, 30 minutes later, and still no food. HUH?

On our way out of the door, there our waitress was at the counter with the manager and her going at it. He said something to the effect of don't tell him no. It was bizarre and we just left. We called their customer service line, told them the issue and they advised us they would report it to the local manager. In the mail, they sent us an apology letter and a whopping $15 in gift certificates...WOW again. No word from any local manager at all. SHAME...don't ever end up here please...especially on the last day of the year toward new beginnings. Disappointing!!!
