I asked the owner, how long have you been open. The answer, "Six months". You need to market!
My husband & I dine out quite often in the Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas. I was surprised that I had not heard of this restaurant opening. So, I want to make sure people know about it, so it doesn't close for lack of notice.
First off, the food was delicious. Oysters Rockefeller, stuffed pork loin, garlic shrimp, to name a few..just lip smacking yummy! The prices were reasonable, and plates come in small or full portion. Great for sharing and getting a variety of food to sample.
The wine list on the other hand, was a bit lacking, but it is expensive to stock wine. So, I inquired about their corkage fee, which is a Virginia thing. If I bring my own wine, they change $6.50 to open and serve it. That is definitely the way I will go the next time, at least until they expand their selection.
We did not stick around and visit the taproom side of the establishment, but there were folks in there who seemed to be having a good time.
Try it, it is a surprise in Scottsville!
