We actually stayed at this hotel before & after our trip...both times the experience was great...

Bruce & Dawn & David at the front desk were great as usual..

I stay at this hotel just about everytime I go out of town, this hotel is the ONLY On-Site Airport Hotel and has 24 hour Airport Shuttle...

Another thing to know: This hotel is the ONLY Doubletree Hotel that starts breakfast at 5:00 a.m., so if you have an early flight, you can still grab breakfast...

I also enjoy each time I there the outdoor pool & hottub and nice gazebo area, not to mention they also have a sand volleyball court...

I have also heard from the staff that the hotel is talking about renovations or a sprucing up of the hotel...

I always will come back....

Room Tip: There are 5 floors in this hotel, if you stay on the first floor you have the best option to getting...

Steayed 2 nights with our 4 kids. Clearly a property that DoubleTree took over and haven't paid much attention to. Recently stayed in a DoubleTree in Niagara Falls, Ontario and it was very nice. This place- not so much. Just worn looking and didn't have a clean smell in general. Elevator was hot and humid as were the hallways. Rooms were spacious and beds were clean.
Overall not bad, just not what you'd expect from a DoubleTree.

We stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel Richmond Airport as a stop off on our way to the Outer Banks for one night. We were very pleased with our stay. We were greeted by Bruce at the front desk who was both friendly and helpful. We were pleased with the large size of our room and comfy accommodations. The toiletries were from Crabtree and Evelyn and were a nice surprise considering the low price of this hotel. Considering the location's proximity to the airport (you were practically next to the runway) we anticipated noise but heard none. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel in this area.

The mattress had something between puke and p on it. Bath would not shut, faucets leaked, towels were stained. Room service was half OK and half in the trash. The GYM is great if you live to make it thru a workout. The place was built in the 80’s and never updated. The staff seemed able but the fact that I spoke to 3 employees for a $10 food credit that they can’t approve for 4 days until the manager returns tells me this is from the top. As a very loyal Hilton Diamond who spends 100 nights a year on the road, this is an embarrassment to the brand. You have many other choices in the area.

Room Tip: Dont spend the night here!

We stayed at the Doubletree Hotel and we're treated very well !
Dawn, Bruce, Bobby... William made our stay a good one... even though our car broke down and had to stay in Richmond...
Our Family was driving to the beach and had car troubles. Our cooler items were kept cold in the office fridge and they drove us to a restaurant nearby !!
They helped us get to and from the car repair shop through their shuttle service.
We were able to stay a few hours more than normal too, since our car wasn't done
The rooms weren't perfect, but we had a great stay !!
Thanks to all of the staff here !!

absolutely the worst most disgusting hotel i ever stated at. the night manager was the most unprofessional person i ever met. the hotel room stunk, the employees were rude and would rather of slept in my car. never stay at this dump.

Room Tip: better off sleeping in your car.

This hotel has alot of offer - whether you are just flying in for the night on business, need to be near the airport. The staff at the front desk, especially the manager (i forget his name) is very friendly. I've stayed at this hotel about 5 times over the last couple of years, and he always remembers me, and says welcome back.
The food at the hotel bar/resturant is very good. The staff in the morning also greet you with a smile. You can get a cooked breakfast, or just go for the buffet. Both are very good. They have a happy hour during the week between 5 and 7 where you can get free drinks and snacks too.
The rooms are clean and up to date. I will stay at this hotel again when i am in the Richmond area for business.
