Stopped at this place very late at night after 12 hours driving. Talked to the man at the desk; got a reasonable rate. Non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and the carpets were disgusting. A/C smelled moldy and refrigerator was barely cooler than the room. Too tired to worry about that so I had a drink and crashed out. Was awakened about 6AM to a sound from behind the nightstand. Turned on the lights and found a family of mice chowing down on a bag of chips. Now I'm awake and want out of this place. When I washed my face, I noticed that I have blotchy spots and my lips are swollen from a reaction to something in the room. Guy at the front desk (who spoke english 3 hours earlier) can't understand what I'm talking about; mice, smelly, allergic reaction etc. When I got home, called EconoLodge HQ and was told they sold this location months before. "Sorry we can't help you, but it's not one of ours. You'll need to contact them." Sleep under a bridge or in your car but don't go to this "hotel."
