This is our second stay and it was so much worse than the first time (which was barely passable) that even though we come through this area once or twice a year, not staying there even if it was free. Lobby is nice and breakfast room also. But, once in the hallway there are multiple stained & sagging ceiling tiles. Carpet buckling up and actual threadbare to the concrete floor showing through. Mattress and bedding was clean and comfortable. But someone had wadded up a tissue and crammed it into the peep hole inside the room and apparently housekeeping saw no reason to remove it. The room darkening drapes were floor to ceiling which I really like but they were sagging off the rod in places. Furniture was early Goodwill at best, beat up and worn out. As for remodeling the only thing I saw that could remotely be remodeling was the new flat screen TV on the wall. We passed a door in the morning and you could see where the pool was supposed to be but the weeds around it were waist high so no idea if it is even used. I always try to include anything positive that I can when I do a review. I can say that late night (when we checked in) and early am staff was very nice. That being said, unless there is major, MAJOR renovations, keep on going down the interstate.
