“Such a great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

We were passing through town looking for a place to sleep and by chance we drove past this beautiful little B&B.
There are only three rooms, each with private bathroom, so the atmosphere is really intimate and cozy. The whole house is newly redecorated and it looks beautiful.
Our hostess served a delicious breakfast in the morning and was so kind as to let us borrow the kitchen so we could make our own food in the evening.

“Southern charm and hospitality at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2009

My husband and I had a wonderful visit at Brugh's Inn. Phyllis is a wonderful hostess, who went out of her way to accomodate breakfast for my food allergies. Our breakfast was fantastic. The inn is beautiful and the website pictures don't do it justice. We stayed in Jessica's room and loved it.

We are already planning our next trip back to Brugh's.

“Best place to stay! Wonderful breakfasts! Beautiful rooms! Charming hosts!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2008

What a wonderful, relaxing stay we had at this beautiful B&B! After a restful sleep in our charming room (we stayed in Jessica's Room), we looked forward each morning to another tasty breakfast. Our hostess, Phyllis, is a wonderful cook and a great baker, as well. Each morning we had freshly-baked muffins (my favorite was the chocolate chip muffins!) and lots of fresh fruit, delicious coffee and juice -- and then the main course, which was very different (and delicious!) each day.

Our room was just right, with an extremely comfortable bed, an inviting, large 2-person chair, flat screen TV, gas fireplace, and large windows. The bathroom was large and beautifully tiled. The colors everywhere are restful and soothing.

A special treat our Innkeepers provided was the ice cream in the kitchen, and we were invited to help ourselves . . . and we did! They also had other snacks, bottled water, and a special treat in the afternoon if we were around.

This B&B is SO conveniently located to the Civic Center, downtown Salem, and just a short drive into downtown Roanoke. We explored downtown Salem one day and another day we went into Roanoke. After a busy day, we were happy to come home to our B&B! In the evenings, after dinner, we enjoyed the spacious common rooms. It was wonderful having wireless Internet service throughout all the rooms.

The B&B itself is beautifully decorated, the food is wonderful, the location is ideal . . . but most of all the Innkeepers are warm and charming people and you will feel cordially welcomed when you arrive and pampered during your stay. This is truly a wonderful place to stay when you visit the Salem/Roanoke area.
