This is a very fine restaurant in Roanoke, perhaps the best in terms of atmosphere. The service is usually brilliant, though it can lag when things get busy. In that case, what should be a 2-hour meal becomes three and a half, as it did tonight..... The food is of a very high quality, though I don't believe the filet of beef is worth $36, even if the delicious Alexander's salad is included. Bottom line is that this is a great special-occasion restaurant, but there's other great food in Roanoke to sample when you just want a great meal.
