“Excellent and plenty of food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

This steak house has perfectly cooked prime steaks and lamb chops. The sides are also very large. It's easy to over order. Oh the shrimp are huge mew stop in Roanoke specifically to go to this restaurant

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

This place is top-notch for dining. Good for groups, as well as couples or friends. Their seafood trio (which was a special) was excellent - shrimp, scallops and salmon. They have a private room that can be reserved for large groups as well.

“Great food but way too expensive.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Landmark of the valley but not somewhere to visit on a regular basis unless you have won the lottery. Very expensive a la carte menu and drinks but great service and taste. Bar patrons should have their own restroom instead of stumbling thru the dinning room. Sometimes the crowd in the bar gets rather rowdy for the atmosphere of the dinning room.

“Worth the hype....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Excellent steak (2nd best I've ever had behind Shula's in Chicago & Richmond). Waitresses and bartenders were great. The onion rings were SPECTACULAR -- don't skip those, but only get a 1/2 order if your group is 2 people. A whole order is MONSTROUS. We had the mushrooms as a side dish and those were good, but not great. Will skip those next time and try something else. This is by far the best restaurant in the Roanoke area.

“Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This is a great steak house. It has a 30s-40s vibe - like maybe Al Capone will walk in any minute. It's pricey as are all restaurants in the a la carte steak house genre, but the food is better than most, and there's far less pretension than most.
