“GREAT SHOWPIECE OF THE GREAT MAN'S WORK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

Have wanted to visit for many a year and finally had the opportiunity, well worth the wait and highly recommended, learnt a lot about the OWL's work, recommend the joint ticket with nearby Virginia Museum of Transportaiton. One or two concerns; half way though serving me the receptionist suddenly broke off and took a call on her personal phone leaving my party just hanging around, also perhaps the gift shop could have more Winston Link themed goods. Nevertheless the museum is an essential for railfans and those with a passion for photography, please visit if you can and enjoy!

“Photographs and Trains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

If you like old photos, and \ or steam trains than this stop is worth a trip. Find a central parking location and you can save a bit of hassle walking to the various downtown activities.

A must see for the railroad enthusiast. Fantastic railroad photos that give great historical reference to railroads of the past.

“RIDE THE RAILS via PHOTOs and Exhibits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

A museum built around one man is quite a testamony to his genius as a photographer and his ability to convince N&W (Norfolk Southern) to allow him great latitude in photographing the railroad.
This will not disappoint the Railroad / Train buff or the art lover. Makes a great companion with the Transportation Museum nearby.
A SIGNATURE VISIT WHILE IN ROANOKE.
Well presented, great location, interesting exhibits, Visitors Center easy walk from Hotel Roanoke or Downtown.
Parking can be a bit of a problem - call ahead for ideas or check out the web page http://www.linkmuseum.org/

You might even be able to catch on of their special presentations

Nope I do not work for them nor volunteer, just telling you what I think.
