“Everyone Should Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

Anyone who lives in or visits Roanoke, the Star City, must take a few minutes to travel up Mill Mountain to visit the star. Best time is dusk. Plan on staying about 45 minutes. The pint size zoo has limited hours but it packs a nice punch. Make sure you see Bo the Wolverine.

“Great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

A must-see in Roanoke. On a clear day, the view is forever and awesome. Go back at night to see the city lights.

“A Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

If you come to Roanoke, you wasted your trip if you don't make the drive up to see the Star. The view in incredible and at night it's absolutely magical. Be sure to get there before 11PM though...that's when it closes. Also, lots of good trails around there if you want to take a stroll, hike, run through the woods.

“Worth the trip”

We enjoyed the wonderful views of the city and the surrounding mountains. It was quite a popular place on a beautiful autumn afternoon.
