“Unexpected delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Came upon the museum by chance and even my wife enjoyed wandering around. Some interesting photographic and descriptive displays led us to the museum alongside the rail track. The large locomotives were very impressive. A number of the outdoor displays in the trainshed were 'works in progress' but that just added to the charm. Enthusiastic staff.

This is a very interesting place for both grown ups and children of all ages. The indoor models, displays and photos and the outdoor trains on exhibit make for a fun day. Looking forward to taking the grandkids back soon.

“Good way to spend two hours”

Interesting museum. Seeing the old, huge steam engines is worth the price of admission. Good for kids.

We like all the stuff to be seen however, there is still plenty rail cars and locos which are not on display pending rehabilitation and we hope those will be available soon.
