We arrived at 1:30 am after a long night. When we pulled into the parking lot we saw about half a dozen electric utility trucks and a group of men- they were traveling east and south to aid post Hurricane Earl cleanup and had stopped here for the night. we thought - oh no this will take forever. The desk had a lone woman working and she got us registered in no time. The common areas were spotless, as was our room. It was probably the cleanest hotel I have ever been in.
Our room had a generous size and well stocked bathroom and a king size bed. The bed was a bit soft but that is OK for one night. We pulled the sheets up and looked at the mattress etc to check for any little bedbugs and the mattress looked brand new. The sheets were bright white and quite nice. The pillow were comfy as well- I am a pillow freak and travel with my own when I can but these would have been fine even for me.
The breakfast provided was nice for these free deals. Make your waffles, real scrambled eggs ( not preformed balls or patties of reconstituted eggs), sausage patties, oatmeal, vanilla yogurt with different fixings. They also had different bread, bagels, muffins and danish. Beverages were different coffees, teas, milk, juices. My only complaint was the lack of fruit - only apples and oranges and fruit cocktail.
The staff seemed friendly. The place was quiet, even though it was sold out and right off the interstate. The decor (country) was awful- a horrid mix of rose pink and olive green that looked ancient but for one night who cares.
I can't comment on wireless availibility etc as we didn't stay long enough to check that out. The pool and spa looked inviting and clean.
All-in-all a good place.
