“A First For Me”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2012

Spent a couple days at this hotel. Nice place. Friendly staff.
I couldn't believe that they did not have any of the major networks on their television. All the cable channels, but no ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox. Listed the HD channels, but no HDMI cable= no channels.
I will call and ask before my next trip.

The front desk staff was hit or miss. The night people were super friendly and helpful, but it was hard to locate people during the day to get assistance. The rooms were clean enough, the bathrooms had a lot of counter space and strong showers.

We stayed at this hotel in the fall while visiting friends in Roanoke for two nights. The hotel was clean, and the location was decent. One advantage to use was that a grocery store was located 1/4 mile down the road, so that we could stock up on snacks for our trip back home. I stay at a lot of Holiday Inns, and found this one to be pretty good.

Had a lovely and welcoming visit to the Holiday Inn Roanoke Valley View. I was helping my daughter move home and were at the very beginning of our very long drive home -- we got in late but were greeted by the very sweet manager who had taken a shift for one of her employees. She was humorous and kind, and answered our questions on what might be the best pizza establishment to order from - and greeted us like friends when she saw us at breakfast in the morning.

The room was a nice hotel room, but to be honest I don't much remember it, which is not a bad sign. It meant we were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn to any weary travelers.

This was a great overnight hotel for us. All they had available when we got there was a strange living room area with a pull out couch but they gave us a decent price on the room. There was a full kitchen, television, living room area, and a very clean bathroom. Apparently they have this room in between two other rooms and it can be used as a suite for weddings or families or whatever you might need a common living area with full kitchen. I will stay here next time I am in town.

Stayed here on our way to join family for Thanksgiving. Check in very smooth, efficient and friendly. Room was provided as requested. A large king room. Nicely furnished, was very clean and comfortable. Besides the bedding, there was a couch, a desk with internet connection, refrigerator and microwave. We reserved the room with breakfast included. That would be my only drawback to the stay. If I had not included it in the room cost, I definitely would not have paid what they were charging for the buffet. All in all, was a good value for what I paid and would stay at this hotel again.

I stayed over 3 weeks in this hotel. The location is great . Very close to the mall ... Rooms are big and clean. People are friendly but the only bad thing about this hotel is the Internet speed.. Very slow and sometime I just close my laptop coz of the waiting time... Other than that it is a good hotel.
