My wife and I went to stay here for the night, being the cheapest in town that I could find at the time ( $35/night ). As soon as we got into the room, it was freezing and they had no knobs on the heater. I called the front desk and they said maintence would be there in about 30 minutes when it was freezing already. Help came to arrive so my wife and I went out into town to enjoy our night.
We came back by 10pm and went to get some ice at the front desk, then the manager states she has to move us to another room saying that our hot water isn't working. Well how come she didn't call our cellphone we gave her but instead she states she called only the room?? 10pm at night, and 20 degrees outside, we moved all our stuff into our car and went all the way across the total opposite side of the building...the parking lot was covered in ice and snow drifts a foot tall from the parking lot to the walkway that we could of easily slipt and fell.
And with no suprise, the new room smelled awful, had no hot water and was freezing..and most of all, was denied a refund due to our awful inconvience and trouble.
By the way, go to Howard Johnson hotel in Salem, same rates just about ($5 more) and you will have the most pleasant experience and everything you need. We stayed at Howard Johnson for the next 2 nights and loved it!
