“Noisy but great food & service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

Had dinner here for the first time on a Friday night and got lucky with immediate seating. Place was incredibly noisy at the door and bar but a little better down at the tables. Menu was interesting and mac & cheese and grilled Brussels sprouts were delicious. Lobster roll was better than most in NoVa with decent chunks of meat and correct bun. Service was excellent and pricing acceptable--$58 for two complete dinners, beverages, taxes, and 20% tip. Was so good we tried to go again a week later but wait quoted was too long and there were people everywhere coupled with all that noise. As a first, the hostess folks were super nice and apologetic. Will definitely try again when in the area. Am giving a poor rating for romance and special occasions because I can't imagine trying to celebrate anything in all that noise. Since the bar is on a higher level, it could easily be closed off somewhat to help with the noise.

“Average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

Average food, good service and nice (but noisy) atmosphere. Frustrated bar tender wouldn't bother make a blue cheese stuffed olive for martini. The delightful little hostess was a plus. Rolls at table are more like doughnuts..,.not what I want with a steak. I go back again but not too on my list. Mon Ami Gabi (across the street) better

“Great atmosphere and great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

Great place to hang out after work in Reston. Parking right around the corner and lively bar. The dining booths for 4 were cosy with a great choice of wine and food. Some local friends of mine said it was the place to be and it was. The starters were not that exciting but the main courses were much better.

“Happy Hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A great place for a happy hour. I met a friend nearby for dinner and afterwards walked by here and decided to stop in. Definitely a local's place, but still a fun atmosphere and a great place to meet new people.

“Delicious, comfortable, and reliable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Jackson's is our favorite restaurant in Reston. Like it's sister restaurants in Northern Virginia; the menu is full of variety; the food is excellent; and the atmosphere, while sometimes noisy, is always fun. We especially like the fish dishes, the salads, and the soups. On our most recent visit, I had grilled mahi mahi over creamy grits and my husband had steak frites. Both were great!
