“Noisy, but good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

We like the food here and the service is good. The only downsides are the noise, the crowds, and the tacky paper on the tables. Love the chocolate mousse; the oysters on the half shell are always fresh; great French onion soup; and wonderful pate.

“Excellent experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We got dressed up (I in a skirt and heels, with pretty jewelry, he in a jacket and cuff links on his dress shirt) and hoped we wouldn't feel overdressed. We didn't; we thought we were dressed just right (even though some people were dressed more casually). We went on a Monday night so the place was not crowded. We sat away from the bar, where the lights were low and the atmosphere was pleasant. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. This is the kind of place where, if you order a glass of wine, they let you taste it first to see if it meets with your approval. And all the food we ordered was delicious, from the ricotta and tapenade appetizer to the salads to the steaks to the chocolate tart dessert! If I am again in the area, I will definitely go to this classy restaurant again. I highly recommend it!

“A pleasant experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Had lunch today with 5 other family members including 2 children. The food was delicious, the service was timely and friendly, and the price was most fair. Good food and good service at a good price - what more could one want?

“More restaurant than French bistro, but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

This is a great hot spot in Reston, but unless you thrive on noise and a crowded restaurant/bar scene, be sure to eat outside on the patio where it's quieter since this is a large place.

Our waiter was solicitous and excellent with advice--which really made the experience a special occasion for 3 of us. He spent a lot of time explaining things and brought several wines to taste before we settled on individual glasses instead of a bottle. They have a good selection and glasses range from about $7-20, but the bottles start at $34. For appetizers, we had: oysters, grilled scallops (Coquilles Saint Jacques with a French onion "twist"), and Escargots in butter/garlic. The scallops were the best. For entrees, the menu emphasizes the French-style bistro steak frites with various sauces. They're good, but if you like your steak rare, then this isn't for you. The rib eye only comes in 22 oz so 2 of us split it, which was great since it cost $39. But I still vote for Ruth's Chris Steak House for the best rib eye around. The hazelnut souffle was to die for--large, rich and creamy.

“Delicious food, nice atmosphere”

From the tasty French onion soup to the seared salmon and then the amazingly delicious profiteroles for dessert, a dinner to be remembered!
