“Typical Hyatt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Clean, quiet and helpful, friendly staff. Got stuck here due to flight delay for 2 days. Not a bad place to get stuck and had reduced rate from airline. Restaurant is really good and they served us at midnite which was nice given our flight issues.

Room Tip: lower level rooms look at parking lot-choose higher than floor 4.

I stayed a Sunday and Monday night. Traditionally that involves a transition from leisure (weddings etc. - though some might say that is a form of business) to "real" business customers.
I have repeatedly said this - but staff are the heart of any hotel. For a large corporate chain in the USA - this one is very lucky to have some great staff.
Nothing stands out - either good or bad. Which to me is the mark of a hotel doing its work discreetly and professionally. Exactly what I wanted. Indeed my only real gripe was that the instructions to the local shopping mall were too accurate!
The restaurant doesn't pose too many questions from a choice perspective. However, the quality was special and dishes rather "exotic" in their style.
The pillows need a tad more fluff for me - but then each to his own.
Would I come again? I already am.

Room Tip: Go for the top floor. Very quiet.

My visit can only be characterized as excellent. Not only are staff knowledgeable, they are cheerful. Be sure to try the breakfast buffet--yummy. The location offers the best shopping and foood choices.
My experience was simply the best.

Stayed several nights while my spouse had meetings. The Hotel was extremely clean, formal, and everything you would expect,, plus. The pool and work out room was exceptional. The location in my opinion could not of been better. Close to a variety of restaurants up scale and fast food depending on what you wanted. (within walking distance) I took the city bus which is right out the door to the rail terminal then the rail to ALL of the Washington DC sites. I was able to spend minimal amount of money on public transportation. We did not have a car so I cannot tell you about the garage.

Dear Dsemrick,

It was thrilled to read of how much you enjoyed your experience. In a future trip, your transportation costs may get even cheaper. The Metro (DC subway system) is scheduled to extend to Reston in Q1 2014.

Thank you for your business and the great review. Hope to see you around these parts soon.

Stayed just the one night before departng the US. Couldn't have been happier with the hotel. Big,clean luxurious rooms, comfy beds and a great location. We stayed mid January, and much to our delight there was in ice rink in the mall adjacent to the hotel. Great way to spend the day. Ther are some cool shops and excellent restaurants within walking distance. Hotels next to airports are always suspect, with little surrounding them, which is why we chose the Hyatt. Couldn't have been happier with the quality of the hotel, value for money or location. Excellent way to cap off a grate trip!

Room Tip: Take advantage of the complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening oif you can - an excellent way...

Spent a weekend here with three close friends that I hadn't seen in 15 years. The hotel was fabulous. Service here was by far one of the best I've ever received at a major hotel chain. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive ... I was very impressed. The room was great, no complaints.

The hotel itself is located right in the heart of Reston Town Center, a wonderful place for a quick weekend visit - lots of great restaurants and upscale shops. It's very pedestrian friendly. Felt like I was in Europe with all the sidewalk cafes. We didn't need a car the whole weekend. It's just a 10 minute drive to Dulles Airport and the hotel has a free shuttle. Reston Town Center is about 30 mins. from downtown D.C.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you happen to be in this area.

Room Tip: Book online for a better rate, and book early if possible. We got a higher rate because we waited to...
