“Our favorite hotel in the area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

My husband and I used to live in the Reston area, and we come back to visit family and friends out here a lot. We've stayed at many hotels in the Reston/Herndon/Sterling/Chantilly/Fairfax area, but this one is always our favorite. The service is consistantly friendly and we've never had a bad room. I love being a part of the Reston Town Center; there's always something fun going on just steps from the hotel. Also, the gym in this hotel is fantastic! Must bigger and more well equipped than most hotel gyms you'll find. If you book online at hyatt.com they also usually have an option to add breakfast from the Market Street Grill to your room booking for only $10 per person, and it is WELL worth it to do so. The breakfast buffet is delicious and would normally cost about $40 for two people, so getting it half off at the time of booking is fantastic. Book here and enjoy your stay in Reston!

“Good but not outstanding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Thanks to a generous relative who booked our hotel using his Hyatt Hotel points, we stayed for two days over Thanksgiving. We were disappointed that we were bumped up to the Club Level but that the lounge would be closed over Thanksgiving. Room was nice and comfortable. Bath amenities were very nice.

I'm taking a few points off for inconsistent service. My wife is an early riser and asked the front desk where she could get coffee on Thanksgiving (the adjacent Panera Bread was closed), and in-room coffee is usually dreadful. The desk clerk directed her to a Starbuck's, which was also closed. Surprisingly the hotel's own restaurant was open and my wife found coffee there. The clerk could have saved her a lot of trouble just by pointing her to their own restaurant.

Since the Club Level lounge was closed, we were told we would get comped full breakfasts in the restaurant. I mentioned this to our waiter both mornings and both said they'd take care of it. However, upon checking out, I asked to see our bill since we had added gratuities. The bill presented to me did not make any sense. There was a 30-cent gratuity, a meal charge, and then one gratuity that I did recognize. We definitely did not give a 30-cent gratuity, we usually tip the customary 15-20%. Had we paid for the room ourselves, I would have brought this to their attention. Since it was on a family member's Hyatt points, I decided to just let it go.

And by the way, if you don't mind walking around the corner to the free parking lot, you can avoid the Hyatt's parking fees.

Dear TarHeel,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel during your stay. Glad to hear that overall, you enjoyed your experience. It was also dissapointing to learn that we failed to provide you with the appropriate service you deserved. This is not consistent with how we assist our guests.

Your business is much appreciated. I sincerely hope that you give us another opportunity in the future.

“WHAT HAS HAPPENED????”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

We had a less than pleasant experience over the Thanksgiving day weekend.
We had a bad light in the room, the hair dryer was broken, the tub was dirty...we asked for extra towels and turn down service that we never received....we asked for early check in and booked in June but arrived at least 1 hour after our expected arrival time and the room was still not ready.
We have stayed here before and never had to pay a parking fee!!!
We will find another location to stay next trip. The price of the room is not worth the experience for us anymore.

“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I stayed in one of the conference suites. The room was slightly outdated but overall it was a nice hotel. We loved being able to walk Reston Town Center and enjoy the evening. Definitely recommended.

“All in All Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This hotel in Reston Town Center, Reston, VA has o much going or it. We stayed two nights here and both nights our room was by far the most comfortable, clean hotel room I've stayed compared to the room at the Quality Inn in Wytheville the night before. For only $30 more for the Hyatt we got a VERY clean room, warm room, and clean beds.
Our check in at the Hyatt was very pleasant; the people at the front desk were so friendly, making you feel like they truly wanted to make your stay be enjoyable.
When we were directed to our room on the 7th floor and opened the door to our room, the most pleasant aroma filled our senses! The room had the most fresh, pleasant smell I've ever smelt in a hotel room. We always carry a nice s spelling spray to help out the " hotel room smell" but we did not have to use it here at all. How they accomplish that is a mystery to me.
The hotel is located at the edge of the area in the town center where all the shops/restaurant are located. This is a special town center. If you have never visited there, it's a must. If you do visit here, you will not be disappointed if you choose the Hyatt Resort.
The hotel has an adjacent garage that you use your hotel room key to access, an elevator to all levels, work out facilities ( we did not use but was very nice), restaurants at the hotel, lobby sitting area with music, Penera is adjacent to the hotel as well as an ice skating rink just a you come out one of the doors.
Just a wonderful place to visit.

Room Tip: I've stayed here before on a trip and each time have had a great experience. Views from both ou...

Dear Nancy M,

Please accept my gratitude for your thorough and positive feedback. Although your hotel rating does not reflect it as such (you rated us a "1" on a 1-5 scale, with 5 as best). Did you rate us low by mistake?

At any rate, I am thankful for your business and was glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience at our property.

Warm regards and happy holidays,
