I'd found this hotel actually not THROUGH the hotel itself, but via the website www.parksleepfly.com — because I had an early morning flight and needed to leave my car somewhere in hopes of not paying the airport's high daily parking fee. So when I showed up at the Sheraton, I figured I would be treated just like any other guest. Surely not treated BETTER than any other guest, considering I'd paid less than most of them. Imagine my surprise, upon checking in, to receive an envelope with my name on it and a coupon for a free appetizer or drink, as well as complimentary Internet access in my room (rather than simply in the lobby). Turns out I was the "designated VIP Guest of the day." What a pleasure. The king-size bed was wonderful, the room was already cooled down on a hot summer evening, and it was a completely hitch-free trip for me — airport shuttle from the hotel and then back to it upon my return. Picking up my car and driving home. So I guess this is as much a review of parksleepfly.com as it is of the Sheraton. But it wouldn't have been seamless if not FOR the Sheraton and their participation in the parksleepfly experience.

We sought refuge at the Sheraton Reston when our family camping trip went awry due to storms that caused state wide power outages! The hotel is clean, well appointed and the staff was friendly . There were many children on our hall but the rooms are well insulated and you don't get to much noise from other guests. My only complaint is that they advertise that there is wifi but neglect to tell you that there is a $12.95 fee/day for using the wifi. Otherwise a perfectly lovely hotel and great place to stay. Close to DC and Reston itself has many shops and things to do nearby.

I stayed one night because of a travel issue. The staff was very nice and professional. The lobby was what you would expect of a Sheraton and the grounds looked good. The breakfast buffet was pretty pricey but good, the OJ was the best I can remember. The wait staff was very good. My room was clean and the bed was AWESOME. The wireless was not free but worked well. The downside was the shuttle service was waaaaaaaaay too slow. You might want to spend the money for a taxi ride unless you are willing to wait over an hour. The shuttle bus needs better marking as well. The shuttle to the airport was fine.

Recent renovations are great for the hotel as everything on the property is a bit dated. for example, the decor in the rooms reminds one of colors used in the 80s (bright red flooring) and the lobby seems a bit "tired." Also, given the price, I would have expected slightly better amenities and quality of lodging than what was offered. Although I will stay in this hotel again, it would be second to others in the close vicinity that offer more value for the money.
