Came here on a whim while celebrating my birthday with friends. There were 6 of us in a limo and the tasting room staff gladly answered all my questions prior to our visit. They were excited for us to come. I was very impressed with the landscaping (all done by master gardeners). As a gardener I was pleased that they didn't just throw up a building, they truly planned all the green spaces as well. I read the backstory that the owners really tried to build the business before they built a winery/tasting room and I give them HUGE props for this. Having seen wineries have beautiful buildings but poorly made wines I was intrigued. I've been to dozens of VA wineries and this is now in my top 10 favorites. John did our tasting and we opted for the additional chocolate truffle pairing with truffles made in nearby Frederick, Md. WOW! What a mind-blowing experience as I've never had chocolate paired with Viognier. The other two were great as well with the last one (infused with Petit Verdot) paired with their PV was amazing. I really enjoyed all of their wines, which is rare. The tasting room is large with plenty of seating and a two-sided fireplace (indoors and out) and a large covered patio. We enjoyed a couple bottles on the patio and purchased several more to take home. Cannot wait to come back here again. They really know what they're doing and I look forward to seeing them grow even more. I'm now a fan!
