A traditional B&B in a farmhouse. Lovely and peaceful; a good place to relax.
It's about 3 miles from the end of the W&OD bike trail in Purcellville. I arrived by bike and was made to feel quite welcome. There is a small swimming pool, which I didn't try out. For dinner there are several good choices in Purcellville. I took a take-out dinner with me and ate on the screen porch enjoying the view.
There is a nice old-fashioned sort of parlor with a piano and some games and puzzles. Since I was by myself, I just read a selection from the well-stocked shelves.
Breakfast was well-presented, delicious and generous.
Note that this establishment is unable to take credit cards, so be sure to take your checkbook or cash with you.
Room Tip: The "shared bath" room I had was quite nice, with the bath just two steps across the hall.
