Apparently Rendezvous houses construction workers and hikers and maybe some other travelers. The rooms have concrete floors, and the building is solid. The room held a strong odor of cigarette smoke, and smokers hung around outside. The motel faces the five lane Main Street, although traffic wasn't disturbing at night. The fridge and microwave sat on the dresser and were unplugged. The cords wouldn't reach the nearest outlet, and I had to move the microwave to the sink to use it. The fridge was nearly useless. The bed and bath linens were clean. It wasn't expensive. I didn't find many choices of motels in Pearisburg, and the bed and breakfast cost more than I wanted to pay. Next time, however, I'll drive to Blacksburg.
