This was our first time at Country Corner. We took mom, and she enjoyed it as much as we did. The first thing that surprised us was the size of the place. It was bigger than it appeared from the outside. The menu was also much more detailed than I expected. They serve breakfast all day long, so I understand. We were there for Sunday dinner, so to speak.
The prices were also quite reasonable. I had the seafood feast for $14.50. That included scallops, shrimp, clams ... and mussels with maranara sauce. Well, I expected that to be sauce for the mussels, and for gawd knows why, the rest of the seafood would be fried. Nope, it was on linguini. Not exactly what this country boy wanted, but it was quite good. The menu just did not seem to explain that. I ate a bit of the linguini, and it was quite good. But I'm not a pasta sort, for the most part. For sides, I chose pickled beets ... and apple sauce. Decent.
Prior to the entree, I had a Greek salad (one of several choices, included). It was nearly a meal by itself. Very tasty, too.
We opted out of dessert. I'm not sure, but it may have been included, too. FYI, there were some two-person specials that ran about $17 ... total for the two, that included a salad, entree, one side and on dessert ... each. One of these days.
The staff was attentive and helpful.
If there is one thing I'd suggest is that they either have the carpet cleaned ... or replaced as soon as they can. It detracted from an otherwise good meal.
But it's definitely a go-to place if you like good country food at good prices, and lots of it!
