“bird lovers paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

no trip to KeriKeri would be complete without a visit here, for anyone who likes or loves birds and/or parrots this place has a huge selection to view and interact with. Lots of them talk and you can get up close to them for photos, etc - The local shop also supply's lots of products for people who own their own birds, plus if your local they have birds for sale too.

“Well worth a visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

I didnt really know what to expect given we were just walking past. The lady was very welcoming and friendly and immediately gave my wife and I two parrots to have on our arms. The facility is a very well planted aviary\ garden with lots of interesting birds and some walk in aviaries with birds that will feed from your hands. I had a great time, I would imagine kids would love this to bits too. Watch out for Elmo the crazy parrot on the way in.

“Funny ;)”

Take a camera. I recommend to visit the same day Rainbow Falls, Stone Store and a museum. It takes you one hour to visit the zoo but unfortunately there are no place to wait.

“Fun place to visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This little spot is remarkably good value and enjoyable for kids. The friendly parrots are fun (one made our daughter squeal with delight and alarm) and it is well worth spending a couple of hours.

“Definitely worth flying in...... ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

I visited The parrot place on Sunday 02/03/14, just after our dolphin cruise down at Paihia. We were worried about not getting the most of it as we only had 40 minutes there, but we were fine we still got to take a look at every beautiful bird and even hold and get some selfies with some.... my favourite is the gorgeous sun conure 'mischief'. This is not an all day trip, id say an 1 hour to 2 max would be enough for you to get the most out of this lovely family business. The birds are very well looked after and some will even talk to you. It cost us $30 for 3 adults and it was the highlight of my day, if your down in Keri keri come and visit this friendly little business and meet their beautiful pets :)
