“Great place, a few minutes from Kerkeri.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

A very peaceful and quiet location, just a few minutes from town. The staff were friendly and helpful, happy to accomodate our very late check-in. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I happily recommend this location to anyone that want to stay near Kerikeri.

We gave just returned from staying four nights at this motel. We arrived without a prior booking and Dallas couldn't have been more obliging, putting us into one of his executive studio units at a price we negotiated for a longer stay.
The units were modern and very well appointed. The shower was powerful ( which I like) and the eco-approach that the motel has is very impressive. They harvest their own rainwater and recycle waste.
A free drink (wine, juice etc.) on arrival is a nice touch and having complimentary Internet and newspapers every day, added to what was a very enjoyable experience.
The natural surroundings, tuis singing outside our front door and an invitation to help ourselves to fruit in the orchard were greatly appreciated.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Kerikeri. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: It's not in the centre of Kerikeri but don't let that deter you. The motel is only a couple...

I reviewed this motel a year ago. This year traveling, with my husband, we decided to try a different motel within walking distance to town with its own cafe and subtropical garden. A big mistake! After one night there we moved to the Kauri Park Motel where the smiling helpful hosts, immaculate and tasteful modern unit and peaceful gardens far outweighed the need to drive a few minutes into the charming town.

We especially love: the way we can park our car right at the backdoor and yet gaze out the expansive front windows to a private leafy outlook, that the windows are all screened against insects and the private deck with table and chairs. The eco friendly ethos with no impact on quality of experience is a bonus too. Sheer bliss!

Oh, there are interesting places to walk to just a few minutes from the motel too, Makana chocolate factory, ceramics and woodware studios, Pete's Place- cafe, antiques, museum.

Compliments to great hosts.

Great location, clean and spacious units, beautifull setting and very quiet during both day and night.
This is a great place to stay for corporate travellers, families, couples, friends and solo travellers.

Would recommend 100% and would stay there again any time.

Hi everyone! This place is excellent in every way. Very friendly hosts - Dallas and Delphine made us very welcome. They were extremely helpful with showing us where to visit etc. The room was lovely, clean, spacious and a spa bath! The kitchenette was really good. It has a pool which the kids really enjoyed at 28 degrees! BBQ was handy and the whole setting was really relaxing.

We have just completed a month long trip of New Zealand and this motel is bar far the best that we stayed in during that time. The unit was absolutely great and the welcome from Delphine and Dallas was even better. Dallas gave us some very helpful ideas on how we could spend our short time in Kerikeri. We can't recommend this motel highly enough.

We had a lovely time. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. I just wish I could stay longer. I would recommend to my friends and definitely will stay there again if I travel this area next time. Thank you Delphine and Dallas!
