“Nice apartment but loud neighbours resulted in 3 calls to Council noise control!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2010

Stayed in apartment five for two nights in November 2010. Lovely presentation, but quite expensive compared to other accommodation available locally. The apartments are located in a residential street and we had issues with significant noise from neighbours who were having a party. The noise started about 4pm on Saturday afternoon and got increasingly noisy with loud music until at around 9.30pm we called the local Council noise control team. They made three visits over three hours and were unable to get the neighbours to turn down the stereo. The music was still being played very loud at 3am in the morning making it difficult to sleep. The noise control team commented that noise from the neighbouring property is a 'frequent' occurance at weekends, so be aware of this and if you value getting to sleep at night, suggest you look elsewhere!

Almost like being at home. Very modern and stylish and with all the amenities plus more than you would expect from a self contained apartment. The bbq on the deck in the evening was a great way to unwind from an afternoon visiting the local vineyards and the excellent bars and restaurants in the village centre are a short 5 minute stroll away. Peaceful and restful - we absolutely recommend.

Stayed here for my birthday and thought it was great! Really nice house with good furnishings and a great spa pool outside - some of my friends were too cold to go outside tho.

Nice big TV and sound system, good kitchen and nice little touches everywhere. Well thought out.

Would stay again for sure - good to share with friends and I liked the cats.

We booked #26, #28 and 3 x apartments at #24 for my birthday weekend. The three adjacent properties are great for a large group of people.
#26 is new and really well kitted out so we spent our evenings there with the lovely gas fire (it was a cold weekend). Also had Sky which was important for a super 12 finals weekend. The garage bedroom was cold but there is a heater in there.
#28 is large and has two toilets with a large living space where we hosted a lunch for 35 with no trouble. The log fire pumps out heaps of heat.
Both have spa pools. The apartments are spacious and well provisioned, those who slept there were very pleased with their lodgings.
There are rabbits at #28 which were neglected by us with terrible weather. Only thing I wasn't thrilled about were two cats who insisted on being inside the houses, others in the group however gave them cuddles.

We had a wedding in Martinborough and were looking for a place to stay that would accomodate our family of 2 adults and 2 kids plus grandad and grandmum. This place was ideal.

We stayed at 26 Bordeaux, our other realtives stayed at 28 Bordeaux and 3 of the studio apartments.

26 comprised of 2 doubles and a twin room. They were verey clean and well appointed. The open plan kitchen/living area was fabulous and had all the equipment to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable including dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave etc. plus LCD TV with sky and DVD.

We didn't have time but the place cam with bikes as well

Even though it was winter and nippy outside the gas fire kept the whole house warm. Enjoyed the hot tub outside as well !!
