“Good location - a bed for the night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

I had 3 nights in Perth before I commenced a short trip round eastern Australia. This was basically a bed to sleep in for my friend and I.

Fridge in the room, comfy bed, awesome location- that is really all I can comment on positively.

The toilet cubicles are just plonked in the hall way, with slight gaps in the doors. Very unpleasant, especially as they were right outside our room. Shower rooms as expected for this type of accommodation. Clean enough.

The hotel check in is quite like boarding a plane when you've booked economy and having to walk through first class on the way to your seat - the reception is located in another non budget hotel so you are lead to believe that is where you are staying. Then you are given directions across the street....

I would only stay here again if I knew I would spend minimal time in the room like this trip. It has everything you need, you get what you pay for and the location/free parking is a definite bonus.

We arrived Thursday and the check in process was easy. We had pre paid for a motel room and were very happy with what we received. Clean, comfortable and exactly what we thought it would be. Was concerned after reading other reviews but we had no problem at all. The only thing would be that the room was advertised as being serviced daily and that didn't happen but as it was only a two night stay and over Easter we were not really bothered. Road noise was fine, great car parking and checkout was great too. Friendly staff at both times and also the few times I called to ask questions before arrival. Would stay there again if I travelled to Western Australia.

Staff are excellent but dealing with all the patrons complaints for this dilapidated so called 'resort' can't be fun. Unless your a backpacker don't stay in any of the observation resort ' s accommodation If you are looking to stay, stay in the back area of the Sunmoon section. The noise from the highway is a killer.

Great location, but a disaster. Checked into a room already occupied. Second romm not serviced and in a filthy state and in need of repair. Final room not much better. Needs maintenance; the shower was unusable for most of the stay and management were unhelpful.

Room Tip: Don't know that there are any. Pay a bil extra and stay in the more upmarket accommodation next...

I originally booked a room with shared bathroom in the hostel part of this establishment but after reading the reviews and because i was going to be there over Christmas I upgraded to a motel room and am really glad I did. It was clean and almost homely , serviced everyday , clean towels , teabags and milk replenished and the bar fridge kept everything cold. The air conditioning was a godsend . As a women staying alone I felt safe and secure. There was parking outside my unit although i did not need it and it was close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket, also close to the bus which i used to go into Perth . When you arrive you have to check in at the Sunmoon boutique hotel next door and you can use the restaurant there as well. Only downside was paying for the Wifi but I purchased 24 hours worth and as you can stop and start it lasted me 6 days .

We always stay in 2 bedroom apartment every time we come here. As much as everyone complains about this place, I think its value for what you pay for with the location and everything you have near by its worth it. We stayed here last month and noticed the changes that have been made to the place, the new paint job looks great and also the new flat screen tv's was a hit for the kids. Never have had any problems staying here, staff at reception are awesome and are always there for what ever issues you may have.

Stayed 4 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. travelling with our elderly (87) mother were given the last unit near the top of the hill, not really suitable if wanting to walk to shops . Floors didn't appear to have been mopped, couldn't walk around bare footed. Bar frig was hardly adequate, towels were old, oven trays old and stained. bed and pillows were average. Best thing about the stay was the reception staff, very pleasant. appears that the court yard gets used by passer-by's as there were cigarette butts around the table and chairs, someone's thongs were left there and a couple of empty bear bottles left lying around. Unit really does need an update before we think about staying here again.

Room Tip: Unit 13 was on the corner and cars from the next block of units park right beside this unit, quite n...
