The Beach Manor is more than just a converted spare bedroom for hire. My partner and I needed a place to base ourselves overnight for a wedding service and subsequent reception. The Beach Manor was so lovely the wedding was almost a rude interruption. The real surprise was the secret oasis inside. So many great places to sit and read or relax and with fresh tea and coffee available at any time we were very content. The indoor outdoor pool was begging to be used but we didn't have enough time to do everything. Thanks Mimi and Rick you will see us again.

My son's wedding in Perth and where to stay? I liked the location of Beach Manor which has a narrow no through road in front with absolute beach front views of a grassy park to sand dunes and the Indiian Ocean. This avoids the busier strip of properties further north that have streams of cars and large car parks in front spoiling views. So my stay in the Indian Ocean mini suite gave me a panoramic view of the coast with floor to ceiling glass.Waking to this in the so comfortable bed and seeing the "beautiful young" exercising along the walking and bicycle paths urged me out early to walk on the beach and have a dip in the sea. The room is large and lavishly furnished as is the whole residence. You are urged to treat it as your own luxury home with a huge lounge room, kitchen where staff prepare a luxury breakfast that is served in a covered breakfast bar adjacent to the landscaped pool. With Mimi spoiling you with home baked biscuits and a choice of over 20 luxury teas and a Nespresso machine on tap, unwinding has never been easier. An international group of guests and the compliment of live in staff from Germany and the UK made for interesting conversations but if you want to chill out alone, there are Balinese pavilions to retreat to and several other private spaces as well. For excelllent service and that spoilt home from home feel, Beach Manor was perfect for me.

Room Tip: I only had the experience of the Indian Ocean Mini suite The name suggests small but it is very spac...

My husband and I just spent a week at the Beach Manor Bed and Breakfast in Scarborough, Perth.

Mimi, the general manager, is the most helpful person you could hope to meet. She and her team of helpers were simply wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.

We were lucky enough to book one of the suites so the view from our room was just glorious. Waking up seeing the ocean just sets you up for the day.

Breakfast was great...good selection from cold and hot buffet. Would definitely recommend this B&B if you need to recharge the batteries! Didn't use the indoor pool...ocean far more tempting!

Room Tip: the suite with the ceiling that has lights is magical

Used Beach Manor as our base during our Decenber stay in Perth.
Booked 2 nights in the French Parlour Room then came back and stayed in the Ocean Room for 4 nights after a 5 day tour around SW Australia.
Both rooms were spotlessly clean with 4 poster beds which were extremely comfortable and were each individually decorated according to the name of the room. Both rooms had great views of the ocean which is just over the very quiet, no through road, outside the property.
Rooms have aircon and a fridge containing bottles of cold water.
The whole place gives an instant feel of relaxation and Mimi was a perfect host during our stay. Friendly, attentive but not in your face.
Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, plates of fresh fruit, toast, cereals, bread with hot trays of bacon, eggs, pancakes and tomatoes with cheese and herbs. All the food was well presented and fresh. with various seating options - we used the large table looking out through the glass doors at the ocean each day.
I'd looked at various accommodation options before booking here and based my decision on other reviews and value for money. I was not disappointed and think you would be hard pushed to find better value elsewhere.
An observation rather than a criticism, the rooms do not have tea or coffee making facilities, but tea and coffee making facilities are available 24 hours a day and drinks can either be taken back to your room or enjoyed in the comfy lounge or poolside relaxation chairs. If you don't choose this place simply because you do not have your own kettle you are missing out on a fantastic place to stay in a superb location.
The acid test for me is would I go back again.. yes yes and yes !
Mike and Helen.

Hi Mike and Helen

We're honoured you've written such lovely words and we would love to see you again.
Words like spotless, comfortable and great ocean views help sum up what we offer here in our relaxed B and B overlooking Perth's best beach (and only 12km from the city).

The French Boudoir has been reconfigured to allow more space than previously and we're glad you enjoyed it. We do have tea and coffee making in a number of our rooms as well as the 24 hour free service in the guest lounge.

Thanks again for being so nice and we look forward to your return to sunny Scarborough beach.

Booked this B&B on the back of Tripadvisor reviews and having decided that the accommodation being offered around Perth was expensive for what you got. Beach Manor is not cheap, it was one of the more expensive of the 14 places we stayed in during our holiday; but it was certainly different.
Beach Manor is friendly and you are made to feel at home. The staff are helpful, for example offered to carry our (heavy) luggage up from the car to the room. There are nice little touches, such as the availability of decent tea and coffee 24/7, the free home made cakes and cookies and Bob the cat.
The poolside area has a nice relaxing feel to it and it is nice to be able to eat breakfast by the pool. There is a decent selection to choose from at breakfast and the cooked food was good. The bread is home made and is particularly nice.
Beach Manor houses quite a selection of things that Erin has picked up over the years on her travels around the world and they add interest to the place, far better than the chain store paintings etc you get in many hotels.
We stayed in the Ocean Room, which is one of the smaller rooms. It was roughly the same size as you would get in a chain hotel and was furnished with a selection of unique pieces of furniture. The wall and ceilings were painted dark turquoise which made the room feel very dark, especially as the window is on the small side. The balcony was shared, which is less than ideal. The Ocean Room is certainly not as good as the rooms on the front of the hotel.
Overall cleanliness was ok, but I did notice that the room was not vacuumed on any of the four days we were there.

Thank you to our mature English visitors for describing us as friendly and relaxing.
Our gourmet cooked breakfasts included in a room price that nets us as little as $168 a night is a bargain for expensive Perth, especially since the Ocean room size is 8 metres long x 3 metres wide. Our guests tell us the cafe nearby charges almost $100 for a breakfast similar to ours, so we're glad you both enjoyed helping yourselves to breakfast as well as the free home made cakes and cookies you mentioned
The ocean view balcony is a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful Indian Ocean and is rarely shared by the room next doom. As fastidious women including a Virgo running our B and B, our rooms are always spotless, including the bigger ones you mentioned for virtually the same price.
Best wishes from sunny Scarborough beach.

We booked just 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Great location, caring and considerate service and delicious breakfast.
The setting is just lovely - totally surprised me when I walked into it - as the pool setting and surrounds are so beautiful and relaxing. Great coffee too.
Easy to just walk across the dead end road and lawn area onto Scarborough Beach and only a short distance from restaurants.
We were very well looked after.

Thanks so much Anne and David for your lovely comments including "great location", "beautiful" and "relaxing."
Beach Manor B and B is the closest accommodation to the beach in Perth and we always include a plentiful cooked breakfast in the price, which is the best value in Perth with our beautiful ocean views. It's only 12km from the city here on Perth's best beach.
